The future of Alaskan Native Villages might be determined by whether broadband access can be turned into sustainable local jobs in the short term.
The technology will soon be available, but the more human challenges of engaging communities with a vision and culturally appropriate fast-track education to grow an entrepreneurial culture will determine the sustainability of most Alaskan Native Villages. The 21st Century Learn, Earn, and Serve Academy has extensive resources, online courses, and more, to be shared without restriction on behalf of the opportunities broadband (fast Internet) brings to the villages.
